I’ve been looking for a new foundation/tinted moisturiser ever since I could see the little glass corners of my Estée Lauder Double Wear bottle.
It took me a good few trips to my nearest Debenhams (where they NEVER have any staff on the flipping make up counters) and many times of me hounding them for samples to get to this point! Cue the picture of the mini sample pots below…
I’d picked up another sample of the Estée Lauder Double Wear but it was a sample from their cushion foundation stick, a Born This Way Too Faced sample, an Urban Decay One & Done sample and a sample of a Clinique foundation!
As you can see above the samples vary quite alot in colour, with the Urban Decay One & Done being the darkest.
I started to use a few of these on a day to day basis and thought I’d see which ones I reached for more often! Funnily enough, it was the Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done that I started to use daily – and by some kind of miracle I have finally found a foundation that matches my neck!! Yaaaaaay hoorah…
Even though this was the darkest shade, I had always known that I’ve used foundations that were slightly too light for me simply because I’ve never been able to match myself properly.
My skin tone is a bit all over the place too – on my forehead it’s completely different to my cheeks and on my chin it’s different to my nose. No wonder I’ve been so confused!
So after about a week of using this One & Done ‘Complexion Perfector’, I really have been loving it. It’s got SPF 20 in it, which is insanely good for something that provides such natural coverage. I like the finish of this – it’s in between matte and dewy and I love the way this feels on the skin. It doesn’t feel tacky at all, it actually just does feel like your skin!
This was £25, so a little pricey for a tinted moisturiser, but I have quite dry skin and finding a base that doesn’t cling to dry patches in winter is important.
I bought the shade Medium and I’d say this is pretty good for Asian/Indian skin tones! I also tried a tiny bit of the new Urban Decay All Nighter foundation and OH MOMMA it’s got pigment. It’s got too much pigment in my opinion – a tiny blob just covered the whole of the back of my hand and I hated that!
I’m so pleased with this 🙂 have you guys tried it?
What do you think?
