So on my Youtube channel not long ago I filmed a review/before and after using the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara and I thought to myself, ‘Why not do the same for what used to be my most favourite ever?!?’
So if you’re like me, then you stock pile lashes for those occasions when you need them. The odd night out, a party or wedding/special event – but they need to be easily accessible and for me one of the most important things is that they don’t take up alot of room.
I prefer to have them still stuck to the plastic packaging as this REALLY helps keep the shape, I find.
The picture above shows all my lashes in my stashes (lol) before I tried to store them!
My favourite lashes are the Red Cherry Wispy lashes – I get mine from Amazon and they are amazing. You can reuse them around 3 times depending on how much glue you use and they have minimal packaging which is another reason I love them.
I quite like keeping the white part of the packaging and then just disposing of the cardboard around it AND the glue that comes with them. The reason I say that is that I love to use the DUO lash adhesive, it comes in a standard version but being a brunette it also comes in Dark Brown!! Which is genius.
So you can see that taking away the cardboard packaging and just keeping the white sections makes them much easier to store – I’m just using a plastic sturdy tub that some of my indian jewellery came in! It’s perfect and compact, and if you buy multi packs like the Ardell Demi Wispie lashes you see above with FOUR PAIRS then that makes it even easier. By the way ALL of the lashes in the picture above are now in that box!
I hope you liked this post! Simple yet effective, lol
I hope you’ve had a great weekend before real life starts again…(aka work)! One of my Christmas presents was a dinky little sample of the Benefit Roller Lash mascara, which I’m reviewing for you today (my sister Anisha bought it for me, she wanted to be included in the post and she’s making me a cup of tea so I think that’s a good deal).
The Benefit Roller Lash claims to ‘curl and lengthen’ using it’s Hook ‘n’ Roll brush…this brush is thin and long and looks pretty ordinary. I was surprised by how much it does actually lengthen. If you are looking for volume then I don’t think this is the mascara for you – I am lucky and have quite thickish lashes anyway so this isn’t a problem for me!
Compared to the Lash Sensational, the brush is much thinner and I’m not entirely sure where the Hook and Roll aspects of it are!
As you can see from the before and after picture above, this mascara is great for lengthening and it’s very pigmented :). It actually performs very well on lower lashes as well, adding fibres and coating them thinly so that it’s not clumpy.
I think I would buy a full size version of this when my current mascara runs out (though I have a habit of having more than one on the go, oops). I’m not a massive fan of the packaging, though this is only the mini. The pastel pink doesn’t stand out much on the black background but I guess the test is of the product itself!
Have you guys tried the Roller Lash mascara? What did you think?
This look features a glittery smokey eye, winged liner and false eyelashes, but a nude slightly overlined lip. I kept the rest of the face very simple as the eyes and lashes are the main focus.

I was putting on some false eyelashes the other day, when something I had known all along finally registered within my brain. After thinking about it for some time, I realised there are quite a few generally icky things that we either have to use as part of our make up routines, or have to put up with!
*these are facts..loosely translated as things that I think need to be spoken about, you won’t find them on wiki or anything*
MY TOP 5 ICKIEST MAKE UP FACTS
Why why why does eyelash glue have to smell SO BAD. It’s like God’s punishment for wanting eyelashes that are longer and thicker. Even the good brands like Duo stink…they smell like…fish. It’s so disgusting it ALMOST makes me stay away from falsies (not really, I’m a soldier).
Mascara eye goop! I was watching that episode of Friends where Chandler goes out with one of Rachel’s friends and he felt weird about her mascara eye goop. Guaranteed in the morning when you are getting ready for work, at some point (usually when you actually open your mouth to talk to another human being) eye goop starts to collect in the corner of your mascara’d eye. Yick.
Poorly set foundation/concealer! If you don’t have a good foundation/concealer and touch your face, but then touch something white, it will get ruined. What’s worse is if you have a terrible foundation, you scratch your face or if someone was to wipe a finger down it, EVERYONE would be able to see the difference in skin colour. Terrible.
OMG the taste of make up wipes when you have to take off lipstick with them. If you are using baby wipes it’s less disgusting, but if you are using proper make up wipes then nothing will save you. There’s no avoiding that horrific taste of the make up cleansing wipe, I do not want to taste soap thank you very much but I need a way of taking off this lipstick. Gah!
Why the hell does lipstick ALWAYS end up on your teeth. This one is less disgusting, it’s just pure annoying. It doesn’t taste nice, it’s usually there the whole evening and you’re wandering around oblivious smiling like a cheshire cat.
Hope you enjoyed reading these and being put off your breakfast by them! MMMMMMM

Kick back this Sunday morning and get yourself a cup of tea (especially you lot that are hanging) and sit and watch my newest video on this Adriana Lima make up look that she wore to Cannes this year. It’s not exactly the same, it’s more my take on it, but I was really happy with it in the end!
If you want to see how I created this look, watch my latest video below and please leave a like if you enjoyed it. Feel free to leave a comment too and subscribe to my channel if you want to see more videos! 🙂 🙂 🙂
For years and years I had used the same cheap eyelash curlers that I had bought when I was a teenager. I had bought them from Boots, just simple ones that had seen their best days!
Then, the Shu Uemura eyelash curlers waltzed their chrome-y way into my life. They are so beautiful! Well designed so they fit snugly in your hand, and the black silicone pad is so comfortable and gentle when you close the curlers.
I was so used to the more flimsy, well worn pad on my old eyelash curlers that I was really surprised at what a difference a good silicone pad would make. To be honest, I was probably being a bit rough in the way that I used to use my old ones, and what I noticed the most was that you hardly need to apply any pressure in order to get a good curl.
I think using these, I won’t actually have to curl my eyelashes every day. I am quite lucky as I have naturally long eyelashes, and actually I doubt I will want to ruin these curlers by curling my lashes AFTER putting on mascara!
These curlers seem like a worthwhile investment to me, and will probably last a lifetime! They will probably last much better than my old ones :p
Also it came with a little cat charm which is apparently meant to look like Karl Lagerfeld’s cat?!
