Watch me try on the Urban Decay One & Done Foundation!

Hi Guys,

I’ve got a video post for you today where you can watch me review and try on the Urban Decay One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector which is my new everyday foundation :).

I really do love this and you can see in my video that it does a great job of evening out my skin tone (which is a bit all over the place!)

Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done – Tinted Moisturiser

I’ve been looking for a new foundation/tinted moisturiser ever since I could see the little glass corners of my Estée Lauder Double Wear bottle.

It took me a good few trips to my nearest Debenhams (where they NEVER have any staff on the flipping make up counters) and many times of me hounding them for samples to get to this point! Cue the picture of the mini sample pots below…

I’d picked up another sample of the Estée Lauder Double Wear but it was a sample from their cushion foundation stick, a Born This Way Too Faced sample, an Urban Decay One & Done sample and a sample of a Clinique foundation!

Two Faced ‘Better Than Sex’ Mascara Review – New Video!

I was roaming round Debenhams as you do and when I saw the Too Faced counter it reminded me that I had never actually tried anything from their range. There are lots of products that have introduced me to a range – Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams, Clinique Moisture Surge Gel Cream, Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation – THE LIST GOES ON.

The Too Faced (I keep going to write Toof Faced but that’s something else) ‘Better Than Sex’ mascara was a great entry product for me to try. I have seen it a lot in Youtuber’s haul and review videos and it’s probably been following me around on Instagram too. In this post I have included MY own Youtube video review for this mascara, go give it a watch!

I was pleased to say when I bought it from Debenhams I had a £5 Beauty Card loyalty bonus thingymajiggle so that made me happy!

Don’t worry though, I tell you ALL about the mascara in my latest video! BUT even more importantly, if you want a clear before and after watch the video to see me apply it there and then :). Please give it a like if you enjoyed my ramblings!

Some Black Friday Week Beauty Steals…

Hello you lovely people,

If you are browsing the internets then you will be 100% guaranteed to have heard two words. ‘Black’ and ‘Friday’ – the biggest shopping day of the year.

For beauty lovers, it’s great that we don’t get left out (unless you are in Beauty Anonymous where you are nursing your addiction). I don’t think I bought any beauty deals last year but I will most likely be having a browse this year – and I have been browsing a few for you!

I have chosen a few of the best deals I have seen which aren’t necessarily just for Black Friday – today I went to TK Maxx and was amazed to find that they stocked Stila – at prices that are around a SEVENTH of the usual retail price. Amaze.

blackfriday

Here are some of the best deals that I have seen so far:

HOUSE OF FRASER – ORIGINS GIN ZING EYE CREAM – was £20 NOW £16

This eye cream is a steal – I’ve wanted to try this for a very long time, I know it seems like a lot for an eye cream but trust me, this is a good price if you know what you want!

TK MAXX – REAL TECHNIQUES DUO FIBER BRUSH SET – rrp £23.99 NOW £16.00

I’m not entirely sure if this has had a reduction but from comparing this to usual prices on this kind of set, this price stands out as one of the best. I had no idea TK Maxx were so good on beauty brands!

DEBENHAMS – URBAN DECAY 10% OFF – SMOKEY PALETTE, was £38 NOW £34.20

If you are able to get an Urban Decay palette with a discount off the usual price, I would say that you have done yourself proud :). This palette has great versatile shades in it for creating day time AND night time looks and would work great as a gift for somebody.

OTHER THAN SPECIFIC PRODUCTS, THE WEBSITES I PLAN TO BE STALKING…

So, rather than bombard you with savings where for some you aren’t sure whether the RRP is real, I can tell you the websites where I will be looking for genuine deals…

Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation

Hello 🙂

I have a product to review for you today that I am raving about, it’s the new addition to my make up bag – the Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation. It’s medium coverage and has a not too thick not too thin consistency…anddddd I love it!

I’d been looking for a good foundation match for my skin for a very long time and I think I’ve found it. It comes in a lovely bottle too – all frosted and decadent.

Snip20151102_1

The little bottle next to it is actually a small sample of the same shade that I got – and you won’t believe this, but it has lasted me around a month. I’ve used it each week day and I use a cotton bud to dot some on my forehead, nose, chin and cheeks and I blend it in using a Real Techniques Buffing Brush. (BTW using this brush means my foundation is blended in SUPER quick).

The finish of this foundation is brilliant – it’s pretty matte but it lets a little bit of a glow come through. It blends in super easy – I find it works best with a make up brush and the reason is because when it dries it becomes almost like a powder to touch. I set this around my mouth with powder on a sparse bristled brush and this helps it last all day.

I love this foundation so much and I know it’s gonna last me a heck of a long time! Seeing as I’ve only just finished the itty bitty sample bottle :).

Have you tried this foundation? What would be your holy grail foundation? I’d love to hear your comments

Thank you so much for reading,

Types of Beauty Shoppers

Sometimes just thinking about going shopping (any kind of shopping) is a bit like this:

19-unamused-face
This is my second favourite WhatsApp face 🙂

This is mostly because it’s either going to be really busy, you can’t be bothered or you don’t want to get out of your pyjamas. I started to think about the different types of beauty shoppers and realised there’s probably a few that you guys will all recognise as you are out and about in Boots or Mac. This is a fun little post that will hopefully make you chuckle and go ‘omg’ next time you go out shopping.

brands

1. The woman in MAC who insists on watching EVERY SINGLE lipstick on the counter even though you already know the shade of the one you want. She’s just hogging space, greedy cow.

2. The young girl approaching the Dior, YSL and Chanel counters with baited breath, being too scared to touch anything for fear of losing £100 in one swift move. (This used to be me).

3. The woman in Boots who crouches down right in front of the Soap & Glory display, consequently blocking the products that you want to grab and go. I know they smell good but jeez get a move on.

4. The rich mothers shopping in Space.NK on the regs, like they’re picking up milk and an avocado from Tesco.

5. The gaggle of teenage girls in Boots floating around the Miss Sporty and Barry M counters with their pocket money jingling in their little zippy purses.

6. The older woman in Debenhams who’s looking at the discounted make up sets for a gift for a distant female relative. Really, she has no idea what she’s looking at.

Can you think of any other beauty shopper stereotypes? 🙂
