I know I’ve been pretty quiet on the blogging front recently – things have been pretty hectic since New Year so it definitely feels good to sit at my laptop and type away (tappety tap tap) about something that I love!
Yes today I am reviewing the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in the shade ‘Miranda May’ (£23) and can I just say, I bought this ONLINE. Yes, I bought a CT lipstick….ON. LINE. WITHOUT SEEING IT IN PERSON.
Am I mad? Most probably, yes. Lol I also bought a foundation on the internet which must mean I’m positively doolally. (what a nice word to say, it just rolls off the tongue).
It has been SO LONG since I’ve posted a nail look on my blog!
Nail posts used to be my favourite actually – mostly because I love it when you get a really good picture showing the finish in a good light!
Next have a range of quite large, flat nail polishes which seem kind of new to me. I noticed them in store probably about 6 months ago and had been meaning to try some of them. I noticed some really quirky shades as well as the normal bright reds, pinks and golds.
One of the shades that caught my eye has an amazing name and an even more amazing colour! This shade is called ‘Teal My Thunder’ , ha ha ha. This name reminds me of the Friends episode where Rachel steals Monica’s thunder lol.
I sometimes find getting my hair cut a socially harrowing experience. It’s an odd place all round I think, no matter what salons try to do, it is. You are trimming follicles that grow out of your head and going specifically to a place that does this all the time.
So I thought I’d talk about the 5 things that definitely cross our minds (or at least mine) when I’m at the hairdressers.
1 .It’s essentially one of the oddest places where they basically help you get dressed…
For me, it used to be concealer and mascara and I guess I used to say ‘I can’t leave the house without these things’.
But fast forward a good 5 years or so and I can’t say I wouldn’t leave the house without it, because a lot of the time I do. I think as you grow older, you shed all the fucks you used to give. So when you are like, 100, you must look around at all the fucks that women have strewn carefree onto the floor and just smile.
I’ve got a Boots haul to show you which has got a real mix of everything in it! If you’re anything like me, you’ll love a good haul video and when it’s Boots it is so useful to see what other people have bought and what they think of their buys so far.
In this video I show you the latest make up, haircare and nailcare bits that I’ve picked up, so give it a watch and tell me what you think in the comments below!
I’ve posted wish lists before and this is definitely one of my favourite types of posts to write. It has a kind of PURSE FREEDOM that is very liberating, but potentially very dangerous. Somehow, posting about having/buying these products makes you marginally more comfortable with the idea of parting with money for these products.
It’s a double edged sword.
Here we go! Go grab a nice beverage and read up on my latest beauty lusts:
I have a new video for you – I’ve filmed an ASOS and H&M haul for you where I show you what I’ve picked up over the past month or so…
What I tend to do now is collect up things I’ve bought and then show you in one go – that kind of haul lifestyle where everything you show you’ve bought in the past two days is just not sustainable!
(It also includes something from Matalan, which came as a bit of a surprise to me as well lol).
HAPPY BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND YO!
I have a few things I wanted to show you before I go off and make some delicious Salted Nutella Cookies *insert heart eye emoji here*.
There are some make up bits that have really been floating my beauty boat recently so I wanted to show you to give you some inspiration! I love reading posts like these by other bloggers so I thought you might want to have a little rummage around my collection to hear about some of the great products I’ve been using…
1. Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in Medium Neutral, £15.75
It feels good to write a post on a Sunday, with a cup of tea – this feels like the right way to blog. I wanted to talk about this little Nyx Concealer Palette on Roshni Reviews today and it’s a real shame, because everyone HATES this.
Like, no one has told me they like this palette. It’s a real shame because usually Nyx products are great – so affordable, great quality and high performance. But this palette – I feel for it, because there is no love in the blogosphere for this poor, little palette…
If there’s one product that’s been on my wishlist for a very long time, it’s this one. The NARS Orgasm blusher is a cult classic and I had always wanted to try it.
I’d say this NARS blush isn’t really for those who are shy with make up – this looks so pretty on but it’s quite an intense flush of colour (as the name would suggest!). This would look great with a full on make up look and it is so pigmented a little goes a long way.
I picked my limited edition blush up at Feel Unique and it came in a beautiful NARS box with a pretty summery overlay – you know that this is special and no wonder so many beauty followers love it!
