You need something in your life…it’s called ‘Fushi’

I discovered that the Fushi’ Really Good Hair Oil (DAMMIT WordPress stop auto-correcting this to Sushi) existed whilst on Instagram, one of the beauty bloggers I follow posted a picture of her empty bottle and I was very intrigued!

I had been looking for a hair oil that promotes healthy hair – something that hasn’t got lots of chemicals in it and has benefits of stronger, healthier hair after use. ‘Fushi’ Really Good Hair Oil is available from Feel Unique – that’s where I got mine from and it contains 98.5% organic ingredients! It even has a batch date on it…

Fushi Hair Oil!

I have started to use this twice a week, applying this into dry hair and massaging it right into the roots and lengths of my hair. This isn’t the kind of hair oil you could leave in your hair and go out with – it’s an oil so it looks like one, so unless you like the ‘Dipped in a Vat of Chip Fat’ look – don’t leave the house! Haha.

This oil contains Brahmi, Argan, Indian Jasmine and Coconut oil and the scent turns out to be quite jasmine-y, heady and incensey. I actually really enjoy using this oil because it isn’t massively heavy (considering the ingredients) and I quite like the scent.

I have noticed my hair has been growing quite quickly recently, but I have been TRYING to do this and am therefore using a number of different products (like the OGX Niacin & Caffeine Shampoo & Conditioner and the Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment). I have been using the hair oil twice a week and leaving it in for around 2 hours each time. If you REALLY want the oil to penetrate the hair you can use a hot steamy towel to wrap around your head once the oil is in (obvs) and it will soak in deeper into the hair shaft! (LOL shaft).

What kind of effect does it have on my hair? WELL look at the picture below – this shows you just how shiny my hair was after using the hair oil for the very first time:

I am really impressed! Now it’s become part of my weekly routine and I’m really enjoying using it and knowing it’s doing good for my hair…

Have you guys tried anything out from the Sushi, I mean, Fushi range?!

The L’oréal Ultimate Blends Blogger Photoshoot!

Hi Guys!

It’s been a few months since I went for a crazy photoshoot with L’Oréal, along with four other ladies who are interested in blogging. We won the chance to represent a range within the Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo and Conditioner ranges, so I thought now would be a great time to share the photos with you so you can see how they styled my hair/what outfits I wore and what it was like!

I did Vlog the day (my first ATTEMPTED vlog…attempted is the key word to remember) which you can see here 🙂 it’s over on my Youtube channel!

I was chosen to represent the ‘Shine’ range – I entered the competition on a whim and didn’t think for one minute that I would get one of the beauty blogger prize boxes, let alone win to represent one of the ranges!

An exciting email popped into my inbox one day and I was pleased to see that I had indeed won and was due to attend a photoshoot at the L’Oréal HQ in London!

I arrived and got my hair curled, while Ali was already getting her photos taken. Dani from Fashion Eye Dani then arrived not that long after that, and then Emma from Ellemmablog and Emma from Glossy Boutique arrived in the afternoon!

Here are some behind the scenes photos from the shoot:

**I have a lot of blusher on but they said that it needed to be that much to pick it up on camera!**

This was a very surreal experience as I’m not used to getting my photo taken by someone else and we had to smile LOTS. I was starting to get a very twitchy mouth from smiling so much! It was fun though 🙂

These photos are currently being used in Superdrug stores all over the country at the moment and Garnier are posting some on their Facebook/twitter/instagram accounts too which is really exciting!!

Before the shoot, Garnier had sent us a beauty bloggers box which had the range we were representing (mine was the Argan Oil Shine range) so we could test the products and give our opinions on them on the day. Luckily I actually liked the products they sent me so it was easy to talk about them *phew*.

Here is what we got in the beauty bloggers box!

Here is one of fancy shots they let me keep!

The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil

Hi Everyone! 🙂

I have always loved certain products from The Body Shop – I think it’s one of those shops that have done really well to change with the times. Now shops have to concentrate on social media, online shopping AND maintain their physical stores. My favourite products of all time from The Body Shop are my wooden paddle hair brush, the Almond Hand Cream and the Brazilian Hair Serum.

Now, I have another product to add to that list and it is the Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil. This is something I’ve wanted to invest in for a very long time – I soon realised that this is the perfect cleanser to leave in the shower to use once I have taken off the majority of my make up after a long day at work.

bodyshopcamomile

It comes in a handy pump bottle and it claims to be able to take off all make up including waterproof make up. It costs £11.00 but I’ve heard a lot of bloggers saying that one bottle lasts them AGES. (Btw it feels really good to do a good old product review, feels like I haven’t done one in ages). When I went to The Body Shop there was a buy one get one half price offer on skincare, so this was great!

This handy product now lives in my shower, I like using it best when I shower in the evening. I wouldn’t say it takes off ALL make up, because when I have used Benefit They’re Real mascara in the day and I want to remove it – this doesn’t take it ALL off. What I’ve found is that if I just use this to take it off I end up with ever so slight panda eyes when I come out of the shower – which I can see when I run a cotton bud under my eyes.

However, if I use a make up wipe to take off the majority of my make up before I get in the shower then the Camomile cleanser works great.

You are meant to apply this dry, then use some water to emulsify this oil as you rub it into your skin. I find that the scent is really calming and natural – this I liked. I like that it isn’t a thick oil either – it is most definitely a silky consistency and this is a great feature!

I do think my skin feels great after I use this, the only let down is that I don’t think it will remove all eye make up. At the same I don’t think it would feel as natural on the skin if the formula was stronger :).

I’m really glad I bought this, as I wanted a cleanser that I could use to make sure all of my make up is off after using wipes – so I’m really pleased!!

Have you tried anything within the Camomile range from The Body Shop?

Leave me a comment if so!

I hope you enjoyed this post, I’ll be posting a lot more in the run up to Christmas so keep your eyes peeled!

Thanks,
