Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

It’s been a long time coming but I have finally tried the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge – considering how affordable it is I’m surprised it’s taken me so long!

I had been using another beauty sponge for a while but it had started to get little rips and bumps on it so I needed to try a new one…

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

I picked my sponge up from Boots and it was only £4.99, so it’s really affordable compared to something like the Beauty Blender which retails for £16!! The RT one is actually on promo at Superdrug now for £4.49…

This sponge is shaped perfectly for applying foundation and concealer – it follows the same shape as any beauty sponge but I do like how it has the angled flat side because you could actually use this to help you apply contour!

I use the edge of the flat side to help blend in my concealer under my eyes and then the pointy side to get into my inner corners (without poking myself in the eye).

I have found that this sponge is pretty good for something under £5 as it doesn’t retain as much water as the other sponge I was using, so once you’ve squeezed it out after letting it expand under water it is ready to use. It is a VERY spongey sponge, which is exactly what you want as it is so easy to bounce around your face and it helps to create a really flawless look.

I love that now they do 2 – 4 packs of these sponges as we know they won’t last forever and at least you will be getting a bit more value for money!

This little sponge has really impressed me and I can say I’ve actually enjoyed using it too!

What do you guys think, have you tried it? Is it better than other sponges you’ve tried? Let me know in the comments 😀
