My First Ever Cohorted Beauty Box – April Edition!

Hi Guys!

I got a bit bored of my Birchbox subscription that I’d had for around 4 – 5 months, so I thought I’d see what else there was on the market beauty box wise. After a little bit of research, I’d decided to give Cohorted a try as it’s more of a luxury, high end box with an amazing box value each month!

The Cohorted beauty box costs £35 each month that you receive it, which is very expensive, BUT the value of the contents in each box is usually around £100 – which means that you are actually saving money against if you were buying these products full size from another shop.

When I was researching beauty boxes, I found people’s blog really useful and as this was of the more expensive boxes, it helped me make sure I wasn’t wasting my money. So I thought I’d add my review to the mix so hopefully, this might help someone else who’s after a bit of monthly pampering/treats!

The Cohorted box is a beautiful, minimalist black box with a little hand tied ribbon and a magnetic close so it’s the perfect storage box to keep all your goodies in. It came well packaged and on time, with all products lying in a little bed of furry black paper worms (that’s the best way I can describe them).

So, I know what you want to find out…how much is the value of this month’s box?!

Well, in each box you get a leaflet that’s like a full on glossy magazine, it’s beautiful! In it it tells you about all the products you’ve received and how much they usually RRP for. At the beginning of the leaflet in this April box it kindly informed me that the box value is a whopping £102!

I will tell you all about the products inside and also give you an idea of how much each item is usually!

Percy & Reed ‘Eau My Goodness’ Shine & Fragrance Spray – £22

This spray is perfect for styling your hair, particularly after heat styling – it will add shine and gloss without being overbearing AND it will help keep your hair smelling lovely!

Laura Geller Spackle Under Make Up Primer – £25

This primer is packed with loads of amazing ingredients, it goes on quite sheer which is nice – it doesn’t feel too heavy and it melts into the skin. You can even wear this on it’s own! I’ve tried it both ways and it does make your make up apply really nicely – look how much you get too!

Elemis Pro-Collagen Hydra-Gel Eye Masks – £8 for one via this box (more for 6 of them)

These masks (not specifically Elemis but just any) have been on my radar for a long time as I love sheet masks anyway. Specifically targeted under eye ones sounded amazing. These are actually anti ageing so as well as de-puffing and helping with dark circles, these should help you on your journey to keeping fine lines at bay!

Laura Geller Eye Trio – Sandy Lagoon, £25

This trio came in two versions and luckily I got the one I wanted. Sandy Lagoon has the most beautiful azure blue shade which would look gorgeous washed over your eyelid. These are lovely creamy foiled shadows, although the set comes with a little double ended brush I’d say they would apply best with your fingers!

Laura Mercier Creme Smooth Lip Colour in Audrey – £22

This lipstick comes in a beautiful sleek square bullet and it’s a lovely wine red/pink shade. There were 3 shades available but I’m pretty happy with this one – the formula seems moisturising and hella pigmented, so it’s a lovely addition to this box!

I’m excited to see what other brands we get in this box!

Obviously it is expensive so I’m just going to see how long I love it for…and then cancel when I’m broke (I mean, ehem, satisfied)

What do you think to this box?
