I was very excited when I saw that the lovely Tanya Burr was going to be gracing the Glamour front cover for December! I was even more excited when I saw that you would get a little Clinique Sample with each magazine…it’s like two Christmases coming at the same time :).
I was so ready for a relaxed weekend after the mania of my sister’s wedding last week, so a WILD cup of tea and a magazine seemed to be the best remedy to cure my minor exhaustion. Reading Tanya’s interview just made it clear to me how influential and powerful the internet is. Having started a Youtube channel earlier this year (there’s a link in the menu above if you fancy a gander) it is crazy to think people can become THIS big from just filming some videos on make up.
Anyway, onto the Clinique lipstick mini that I got with my Glamour magazine!
I had wanted to try a lipstick from the Clinique Pop range and I have heard a lot of bloggers saying how nicely moisturising and pigmented the formula was :). It was certainly moisturising, I got the shade ‘Cherry Pop’ (which just reminded me of Cherryade) and it’s really beautiful. A true, blue toned red, it is a lovely shade.
The lipstick itself is teeny tiny, imagine the bullet being half the width of a normal sized lipstick. The formula is very pigmented – it doesn’t need a lot of going over to develop a nice colour. It is most definitely moisturising and because of this it is only slightly sheeny. If you blot it with a tissue and then apply another layer you know you are good to go for the day/evening :).
I really liked this lipstick – not entirely sure if I would end up finishing this one and would have to get a full size but I am definitely glad I picked this as my free product!
Have you tried any of the Clinique Pop lip colours?
Thanks for reading 🙂
