The beauty advent calendar that I went for this year was the Marks & Spencer Beauty Advent Calendar! This calendar has a product value of £250 which is absolutely mental – SUCH good value for money.
The calendar cost £35 when you spent £35 on other things from M&S and I bought some presents for my family for Christmas and managed to get the advent calendar!
The calendar is a sturdy, festive christmas tree which contains lots of sweet little boxes for you to open up, right until Christmas.
EXCLUSIVE – **I am so excited for Christmas!! I will be unboxing a VERY special Beauty Advent Calendar for you, so keep your eyes open! **
There are some amazing Christmas make up gift ideas out there and some even more amazing sales on too…especially as retailers are trying to prolong the Black Friday effect!
Here I’m going to round up the things that should be on your Christmas Wishlist if you love make up and beauty as much as I do (which is a hell of a lot, haha!). These would also make great gifts for the lovely ladies (and men) in your life if they are into beauty and make up.
I can tell you for a fact that out of all the beauty retailers, the one that has surprised me and impressed me the most is actually Selfridges! Just browsing their Christmas beauty gifts shop I can see brand upon brand that people love and really gorgeous, luxury gift sets and ones that are much more affordable.
Here we go!
I have an exciting post for you today, where I’m showing you the Make Up Revolution Mermaid Forever Palette. I was after one of these Make Up Revolution palettes as they are really affordable and I just had to pick which one I wanted to try!
I was after one that had a variety of colours in it so it’d be perfect for a mix of looks – I had a look at a load of palettes but the Mermaid Palette was the most colourful and dramatic looking :).
This palette was a measly £8 and I have to say I was really impressed by the colour pay off of these eyeshadows (swatches are below so have a lil scroll down).
I actually unboxed this on time, I’m just late showing you this video :). 1 out of 2 isn’t bad, if you ask me. Fancy being nosy and seeing what was in my ‘Stars’ Birchbox this month?
WELL give this a watch! I am SO excited for the November box as I’ve seen it’s either in collaboration with or designed with Tatler and I can see glimpses of a gorgeous regal looking peacock print *insert heart eye emoji here pls*
Little sneak peak…in October ORIBE feature!!!! WTF man
Let me know what your favourite addition to the box is!
Today I have a haul to show you, where I picked a few things up from Superdrug! I haven’t done many hauls from Superdrug before but I definitely picked up some good stuff 🙂
For me, it used to be concealer and mascara and I guess I used to say ‘I can’t leave the house without these things’.
But fast forward a good 5 years or so and I can’t say I wouldn’t leave the house without it, because a lot of the time I do. I think as you grow older, you shed all the fucks you used to give. So when you are like, 100, you must look around at all the fucks that women have strewn carefree onto the floor and just smile.
Recently I went shopping and completely forgot that I needed a brow pencil. I got plenty of other stuff (of course) but forgot something to make my brows look less poo.
Cue a little Boots click and collect order and I thought I would try this Soap & Glory Archery 2 in 1 Brow. I’ve tried S&G for brow products in the past and been a massive fan…but I have to say I am pretty disappointed with this one :(.
I’ve got a video post for you today where you can watch me review and try on the Urban Decay One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector which is my new everyday foundation :).
I really do love this and you can see in my video that it does a great job of evening out my skin tone (which is a bit all over the place!)
I hope you enjoy watching this – I enjoyed filming it!
I’ve used a couple of make up sponges and each time I’ve called them ‘beauty blenders’ and not thought anything of it. When technically, THIS is a beauty blender and all the other sponges I’ve used are just generic!
…Then give this video a watch, where I look rough AF and thread my eyebrows!
In this video I show you how I thread along the top of my eyebrows, as this is the easiest part to thread on yourself. When it comes to underneath your brow, you can thread but it’s riskier as this skin is more delicate and easier to hurt :(.
That’s why I tend to just tweeze this area as normal.
Let me know what you think if you find it useful, or if you think you’re going to give it a go!!
