All That Glitters – My Highlighter Collection!

Hi Guys!

We are officially in Autumn now, I’ve seen so many tweets and IG posts saying ‘YAY October’ and I’m just sitting here like ‘eh, what’s so good about October?!’ We are in Autumn and I am looking forward VERY MUCH to the season of JUMPERS, AUTUMN COLOURS, HOT DRINKS and BLANKETS.

Yes, I am aware that I sound like a very stylish granny.

Determined to keep on some of that summer glow I thought I’d give you an update on my highlighter collection as there are a couple of new additions…

This is a cult favourite, with a cool contour powder on one side and a VERY finely milled highlight on the other! This is expensive, but it holds a very firm spot in my collection.

This little bottle of glow came in one of my Birchboxes this year and although it’s quite a glittery highlighter (probably the glitziest one I own) it can still look pretty dabbed along the cheekbones or as a brow bone highlight!

Rather than using this on it’s own as a highlighter, this is gorgeous mixed into your foundation if you’re going out in the evening. It gives the skin a lovely glow without being too much and it is an awesome moisturiser.

This is probably my oldest highlighter (ew lol) having bought this quite a long time ago. This is a more rosy coloured highlight that is really pretty dabbed on your cheekbones and even down the centre of your nose. Love this!

Again, this is an oldie but a goodie! This is like a throwback highlighter – one of the first and trust me highlighters have come a long way since this one. This is a similar kind of cream to Girl Meets Pearl but this one is much more silver!

Ohhhh MAC Soft & Gentle will always have a place in my heart. This is one of those cult highlighters – it’s a medium milled powder I would say, but this is just so pretty. It looks amazing for nights out and you could set it with a setting spray to make sure it gets maximum impact.

This is one of the newer additions to my make up bag…unfortunately I had a traumatic experience…I dropped it on the floor! I ended up having to press the powder into the pan with force to keep it together! This is so lovely, this is the highlighter I’ve been reaching for the most :).

What are your favourite highlighters? 😀

Thanks for reading guys 🙂
