I’ve got a Boots haul to show you which has got a real mix of everything in it! If you’re anything like me, you’ll love a good haul video and when it’s Boots it is so useful to see what other people have bought and what they think of their buys so far.
In this video I show you the latest make up, haircare and nailcare bits that I’ve picked up, so give it a watch and tell me what you think in the comments below!
I’ve posted wish lists before and this is definitely one of my favourite types of posts to write. It has a kind of PURSE FREEDOM that is very liberating, but potentially very dangerous. Somehow, posting about having/buying these products makes you marginally more comfortable with the idea of parting with money for these products.
It’s a double edged sword.
Here we go! Go grab a nice beverage and read up on my latest beauty lusts:
I’ve been looking for a new foundation/tinted moisturiser ever since I could see the little glass corners of my Estée Lauder Double Wear bottle.
It took me a good few trips to my nearest Debenhams (where they NEVER have any staff on the flipping make up counters) and many times of me hounding them for samples to get to this point! Cue the picture of the mini sample pots below…
I’d picked up another sample of the Estée Lauder Double Wear but it was a sample from their cushion foundation stick, a Born This Way Too Faced sample, an Urban Decay One & Done sample and a sample of a Clinique foundation!
I’ve heard alot about Milani cosmetics via numerous Youtube videos where UK bloggers/vloggers have been in America and picked up some Milani cosmetics from american drugstores. I always thought Milani was like the Collection brand in the UK, but the American version.
Then I saw that you could get Milani at Beauty Bay and I thought it was the perfect time to try something from their range.
I chose one of their blushes because of the amazing rose petal design imprinted in the pan!
I’d never heard of the brand Zoya before. But a little gander on the Beauty Bay website brought me a whole PAGE of Zoya’s to browse and this one, in this beautiful unicorn, mermaid-esque shade really caught my eye.
This is very white in the bottle, but when you move this bottle around in the light you get this iridescent, lilac toned glitter. It’s SO PRETTY and it catches the light and reminds you your nails look lovely! This looks great on longer nails – very chic and glamorous.
Ever since I posted about making my own Z palette for a measly £1.50 or something, I have been looking at the spaces left and getting itchy fingers… I had space for around four more pans and I was very excited to finally get around to filling them!
I knew for a fact I wanted very versatile choices which would mean this palette would satisfy both matte eyeshadow looks and more dramatic ones. So after some very careful deliberation, I chose the cream, brown, orange and metallic purple shades in the picture above!
If you are on the lookout for a very special gift for a special lady in your life, then look no further! (if that lady is yourself then I’m okay with that too)…
ChloBo have a range of beautiful jewellery pieces in rose gold, silver and gold finishes and they are all made to order using 925 sterling silver, gold/rose gold plating and semi-precious stones. From the moment I went on their website I loved it – working in an e-commerce related job I can definitely appreciate an inspirationally designed website!
I’m writing this today as the post I wish had already been written when I bought this product. I had been on the hunt for a translucent, mattifying powder for quite a while.
Most important to me was that I found something with no shimmer in it whatsoever – not even a cheeky glimmer. Cue a little trip to Boots, where I was looking at the options I had. I came across the Soap & Glory One Heck Of a Blot powder (£12) and my eyes went wide. This powder was actually one I’d heard good things about, so I thought I’d have a little look at the tester.
IT WAS GONE. NOWHERE IN SIGHT, just a sad, little empty tester tray. I also couldn’t look inside the product as they all had that plastic wrap around them to stop you doing what I wanted to do, get in it :’).
I’ve got a really exciting post for you, as I’m going to be showing you what I got in my September Birchbox! 🙂
I’ve been loving getting the Birchboxes each month and I’ve found that they are getting a bit more varied in my opinion, which I really like. You get a mix of skincare, haircare and make up bits and I’ve quite liked the variety that you get.
I have a new video for you – I’ve filmed an ASOS and H&M haul for you where I show you what I’ve picked up over the past month or so…
What I tend to do now is collect up things I’ve bought and then show you in one go – that kind of haul lifestyle where everything you show you’ve bought in the past two days is just not sustainable!
(It also includes something from Matalan, which came as a bit of a surprise to me as well lol).
