Glamorous Cut Crease Eyeshadow Tutorial

Hello 🙂

I have filmed a tutorial on a cut crease glittery make up look, with my aim being to show you this is easier than it looks! I found a picture on instagram of a cut crease make up look and fancied trying one myself!

This is one of those make up looks where you don’t have to be too neat until you start to draw the cut crease in, so at first you can be a bit messy but then you do have to concentrate :). Please leave a like if you enjoyed it, subscribe if you feel like it and comment if you have any questions!

The Liebster Award…Round Two!

Hello Erryone!

I have kindly been nominated for a Liebster Award (second time, lucky me) by the lovely Lipstick and Laughter. Thank you Deija! You can read her brilliant post here :).

I love the Liebster Award because it encourages bloggers to engage with and talk about newer, smaller bloggers. I found that this award really helped me benefit from traffic from larger bloggers and get a bit more integrated in the blogosphere!

I really like writing posts like this, answering the questions is fun and I always get a giggle from reading other bloggers’ posts. My first Liebster award post is available for you lucky lot to read here!

1. Why did you start your blog?

I started blogging because I remember looking for a make up tutorial online and finding Tanya Burr’s channel and blog. I loved how chatty and informal it was and it felt like I was talking to her in a room! I wanted to share something like that and writing/reading/creative stuff has always been a passion of mine.
2. Where is your favorite place in the world?

Hmm, this is a tricky question. I’ve travelled before for holidays but I’ve never actually been travelling etc. Somewhere I’ve been but I don’t remember much is Goa in India. We went as a family when I was four years old so although I remember very little I just know that if I could be transported there with a click of a finger I’d be very happy indeed! If you aren’t sure why, google it please :).

3. What is your favorite animal?

When I was younger I had two favourite animals. I always used to do projects on them at school and used to draw them and find out facts about them from an ENCYCLOPAEDIA. Yep. No internet in them days. Well, not as a regular thing. I used to love dolphins and field mice. Not necessarily together, but they were my favourite animals. I guess that hasn’t changed much either!
4. Who is your biggest inspiration in life?

My mum. She’s the strongest, kindest and funniest person and I love her very much.
5. Pancakes or Waffles?

6. What is your biggest achievement thus far?

My biggest achievement thus far in my career has been graduating from university and getting into a job where I have had steady progression for almost 4 years now. It made me realise that there is a lot that I can do and that I am prepared to work hard to do it. My biggest achievement BLOG wise happened recently actually. I was actually approached by a brand to work with them and get some samples sent to me. This was so exciting as I hadn’t had to apply for anything, THEY found ME and that shows that I must be doing something right.
7. What is one beauty product that you cannot live without?

Mascara! It instantly makes you awake :).
8. What is your dream job?

Funny you should ask that really, as it’s this! I think that blogging is so exciting and really satisfying when people comment/like/double tap on instagram, makes me smile!
9. What is your biggest accomplishment to date?

Hmm, I think this is kinda similar to question 6 so I’d probably chuck that blog one in this slot *grabs it and throws*…

10. If someone was interested in becoming a blogger what would your key tips be?

My tips would be the following:

  • Make sure you are on all social media and blog circulating sites
  • Don’t put too much pressure on yourself
  • Make sure your contact details and addresses/links etc are correct and up to date
  • Have some fun!

I nominate the following bloggers:

Karma Seven – The trendiest earrings I ever did see!

My dear mother is a lover of all things shiny. Give her a gaudy diamanté necklace and she is a very happy lady. I tend to prefer more subtle jewellery but I do like things that tend to look a bit different too.

One of the things I am LOVING at the moment is earrings that have a really lovely design that hangs just below the ear lobe. They look so striking and they are great way to make a statement on a night out or at a special occasion.

I am a very lucky girl, as I was approached by a company I hadn’t heard of before, called Karma Seven. They sell all types of unique body jewellery. They currently have a special and brilliant promotion running where when you choose one set of earrings, you get another free!

The only body piercings I have (steady) are my ears, so I decided on the ‘Front & Back Jacket earrings’. The designs I chose were the Leaves, Super Nova and Royal Crown design earrings. I loved how these looked on site but I wasn’t expecting them to look and feel SO GOOD in real life!

They were packaged in a lovely dark purple box, but the best thing was that because the earrings themselves are made from silver they FEEL like the highest quality earrings I have ever owned! I already have a fake gold pair of front and back jacket earrings from Matalan, but they were only £3 and because the material is so shoddy they don’t sit right anyway.

One genius part of the Karma Seven jewellery design is that for this style of earring, they have thought of everything and given you three holes so you can decide how far down under the ear lobe you want the design to show. This is perfect if you have smaller ears, like me! (teeny tiny elf ears)

Although I was a bit skeptical to try such shiny earrings, they don’t look cheap or too blingy, they are sparkly and twinkly and they add a really elegant feel to any outfit. I am really impressed with this company and I don’t tend to say that kind of thing lightly. I can’t wait to wear these to make an outfit look a bit more glam…or just to the supermarket 😀

Please take a look at the products on offer and make sure you take advantage of the buy one get one free promo! Check out their Youtube channel too 🙂

‘The Ultimate Mask Experience’?! Beauty Sheet Masks

Hands up who has used those cheapo peel off beauty face masks expecting your brand new shiny face to be revealed?

Gone are the lurid blue peel off masks and now we welcome hydrating sheet masks, designed to keep skin moisturized for longer and keep the skin healthy.

I’ve never really believed that face masks can do that much, but I was very kindly gifted a ‘Timeless Truth’ Charcoal Detox Brightening Mask and thought it’s time to give one a go!

The Charcoal Brightening Mask claims to be:

‘a breakthrough in skin care technology…to brighten, smooth, firm and hydrate the skin. The black powder impregnated in the cloth is the product of Bamboo Charcoal Extract…proven to be highly absorbent and deep cleansing’

Foof! What I understand from this is that it’s gon’ make your face look good! The company itself sounds like a science based cosmetology company so if things sound a bit formal and essay-esque I think that’s why.

The sheet mask is quite reasonably priced at £4.90 usually and the packaging is lovely and luxurious. The actual sachet has that silky feel which instantly makes you think that the product is going to feel really nourishing on the skin (even without opening the packet).

One thing I noticed when opening the packet was that the mask is very wet! I saw this as a good thing in fact, because it shows the company haven’t scrimped on the serum that is ‘impregnated’ (wat) into the sheet mask. It did look a bit like a star wars helmet but once you apply it (they advise chin first) it does feel really lovely.

My favourite way of smoothing the mask against my skin was to gently smooth my finger tips over the mask, which felt very relaxing. After 15 – 20 minutes I removed the mask and my skin felt lovely and soft! If you gently massage the remaining serum into your face and neck after you make the most of the product.

I would love to buy a few of these for a girly pamper session (because obviously that’s what all girls do when the strong men are at work) not to adhere to stereotypes but these would be a great treat after a long week.

Take a look at the masks from and treat yourself to a soothing sheet mask!

Girl Online – Zoella Fever Continues…

I know my blog is mainly for make up reviews and tutorials and stuff, but one of the main reasons I started it in the first place was to have somewhere where I could just tell you what was rattling around in my brain.

When I was younger, my mum bought me my first Jacqueline Wilson book. I think it was ‘Bad Girls’ or something like that. Don’t get me wrong, I’d had books before that! My eldest sister was always reading so I inherited a lot of books from her. When I was younger, reading would transport me right into another world with a mere turn of a page. I was obsessed with Matilda, reading it cover to blurb about ten times over. Then came the many Jacqueline Wilson books that my mum kindly bought me.

The thing is, I am a very UNHEALTHY reader. I mean, once I get into a book I will find it very hard to stop reading and function like a normal human being. In particular, sleep becomes second-third priority to finding out what happens to a main character. This means I turn into a bit of a zombie, reading until about 3am but it means I get to find out how the book ends! 😛

OK, now I’ll get to the main point of this post :). I was kindly given the first novel by Zoe Sugg, of Youtube and Vlogging/Blogging fame. I am the same age as Zoe, but the book itself ‘Girl Online’ is written for a much younger, teenage audience.

I know that Zoe didn’t write this book by herself blah blah blah but I have to say I did really enjoy it. It took me RIGHT back to being a teenager reading ‘The Suitcase Kid’ and the ‘Sleepover Club’ books. The moral messages for a teenage girl were ever present – ‘be confident’, ‘your imperfections make you beautiful’ and my personal favourite: ‘don’t say ginger say auburn’.

I am now old and cynical, so I pretty much whizzed past these Oh So Important lessons in life. However, the story and the characters within it did seem very real and believable. In particular, I think for Zoe’s Youtube subscribers (of which I am one) would relate even more closely. Anyone who has heard Daddy Sugg in one of her vlogs, seen ThatcherJoe in a GRWM video or seen how bravely she talks about anxiety will be able to relate to her nicely written characters easily.

I think Zoe has kept things pretty safe, but that shouldn’t take away from the fact that when it comes to it, she’s written a pretty good book. In spite of the ghost writing confusion, she has maintained the respect of her followers and subscribers.

In summary, (I swear this isn’t an essay) my favourite bits of the book are:

  • The cheeky banter between Penny and Noah
  • Descriptions of Noah
  • The likeness of brother Tom to Joe Sugg
  • Did I mention Noah?
  • Um…Noah.

I hope you guys like this different kind of blog post, I very much enjoy just tapping away at my laptop about things that I’m interested in. I hope you enjoy reading as much as I enjoy writing nonsensical gobbledygook (when was the last time anyone under 60 used that word?!)

Peace out,

Roshni xxx

Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade in Ebony – Totally Worth the Hype!

So, recently I made a purchase from after reading a blog review on the Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade. I have heard rave reviews about this product COUNTLESS times on youtube and on people’s blogs.

I have always tended to use either eyeshadow or an eyebrow pencil to fill in my brows, but this waxy/watery pomade was a new one for me. I chose the shade Ebony, which is a great ashy brown which is perfect for my brows. It came in at £15 with free delivery, which wasn’t bad at all considering Anastasia Beverly Hills is an American brand.

The way I’ve been using this so far is to brush through my brows with a spoolie and then use an angled brush like the MAC 263 brush to lightly dip into the dip brow (haha, see what I did there).

When you use this, DON’T smush your brush into the pomade, or you will end up with a thick paste to work with which will make your brows looks a bit drag! If you do put too much product on the brush, I’ve been dabbing the excess off in the lid of the dip brow pot. This helps you slowly build up the colour as you have a very small amount on your brush.

I just LOVE the packaging. Black and clear glass, gold fancy ‘A’ on the top and just the most satisfying weight to the little jar. I’m weird, I know.

It’s quite a watery consistency when you are using the right amount of product, which is weird as it’s intended to be WATERPROOF. Waterproof eyebrows, whatever else lol.

I really like the finish this gives your brows, as you can be so so precise. Way more precise than if you were using a shadow or a pencil. It does stay on all day and I was really chuffed with the colour that I chose.

Here is a more recent brow update! (May 2016)!!

All in all, a great product and I am curious to see what the other Anastasia products are like!

Thanks for reading you lot,

Roshni xxx
